Donna Howell, Beckham County Court Clerk, has announced that the county court clerk's office is now accepting credit cards for payment of fines, fees, costs, assessments and other obligations owed to the district court.
Credit card payments are for the amount owned only and cannot be used to cover returned checks, to guarantee a check or for cash. Credit cards will not be accepted for bonds, child support or garnishments.
At this time, the county clerk's office is accepting Visa, MasterCard and American Express only. Debit/gift cards displaying Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express logos will also be accepted, but will be processed as credit cards.
Paying by credit card cannot be done over the phone. The card must be presented in person at the county clerk's office. The person who is named on the card must be present at the time of the transaction.
